the boundary
speak as though a stranger, the person named and the people around them may hear it—because they may. do not submit content or use the service to enable the following:
harm and abuse
- credible threats, praise or instructions for violence, or encouragement of self-harm;
- targeted harassment, intimidation, stalking, coercive contact or attempts to organise a pile-on;
- hate or dehumanising attacks based on protected or vulnerable characteristics;
- sexual exploitation, grooming, or any sexual content involving a minor;
- non-consensual intimate material or threats to expose it;
- content used as crisis communication or to report an emergency.
privacy and identity
- doxxing or deliberate exposure of addresses, contact details, financial, identity or highly sensitive data;
- secretly recorded private conversations where legally required permission is absent;
- unlawful impersonation, fraud, scams, deceptive endorsements or manipulated identity claims;
- attempts to identify, trace, expose or correlate an anonymous submitter;
- cloned, synthesised or materially deceptive voice impersonation presented as a real speaker.
rights and integrity
- copyright or trademark infringement, including music, broadcasts, readings or artwork you cannot share;
- illegal goods, unlawful instructions, malware or attempts to attack the service;
- spam, repetitive promotion, automated submissions, vote/report manipulation or evasion of limits;
- malicious, knowingly false or coercive use of reporting and grievance processes.
how decisions work
context matters. a quoted threat, a discussion of recovery, and a credible threat are not the same. automated tools and reports create signals; they do not prove a violation. content may be held, deindexed, have its transcript withheld, removed or restored after review. publication does not mean endorsement, and no moderation system catches everything. use report for a recording that may cross these lines.
